What MTD Vision collects through this website and its services, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

MTD Vision is a software and services company in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. We make WBAMS and EraPOS, and we build, host and look after websites, apps and business systems for our clients. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean MTD Vision, and "you" means anyone who visits mtdvision.com, asks us for a quote, opens an account here or works with us.

WBAMS and EraPOS have their own websites, wbams.com and erapos.us, with their own policies for the licences, accounts and services you use there.

What we collect

• What you send us. Your name, email address, phone number, company and message when you use the contact form, request a quote or open a support ticket, and what you write in those messages.
• Your account. When you create an account: your name, email address, address, phone number and password (stored only in a form that cannot be read back), and the quotes, invoices, services and tickets that belong to it.
• Payments. When you pay an invoice online, the payment provider you choose handles your card or bank details. We receive whether the payment went through, its amount and a reference, never your full card number.
• What every visit leaves. Like any website, our server records the address a request came from, the browser, the page asked for and the time. We use these records to keep the website working and safe.
• Cookies. Small cookies keep you signed in, remember your language and light or dark mode, and protect forms from misuse. We use no advertising cookies and no tracking for advertisers.

How we use it

• To answer your messages, prepare quotes, do the work you ask for and support you afterwards.
• To run your account, send your quotes and invoices, and keep a record of payments.
• To send the emails our service needs: replies to tickets, quotes, invoices and notices about the work we do for you. We send marketing only if you ask for it, and every such email lets you stop it.
• To keep the website and our systems secure, and to meet our legal and accounting duties.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Information we handle for our clients

When we build, host, set up, move or support a website or system for a client, we may handle information that belongs to that client's own customers, staff or members. We do that only to provide the service the client asked for, and the client decides what is collected and why. Questions about that information are best sent to the business that holds it; we will help them answer.

Who else sees it

• Service providers that work for us: the company that hosts our systems, our email provider and the payment providers you choose. They may use your information only to provide their service.
• Hosting you choose. When a client hosts with a provider such as Spotflixt, that provider has its own terms and policies for the hosting account.
• The law. We share information when the law requires it, or to protect our clients, our users or ourselves from fraud or harm.

How we protect it

This website uses encrypted connections, passwords are stored in a form that cannot be read back, and access to client systems is limited to the people doing the work. No system is perfectly secure, so we also ask you to keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think your account has been misused.

How long we keep it

We keep your account for as long as it is open. We keep messages and tickets for as long as they help us support you, invoices and payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and server records for a short time. You can ask us to delete what we do not need to keep.

Your choices and rights

You can see and correct most of your details in your account. You can also ask us to send you a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to stop using it for something you did not ask for. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights; we honor them. Write to us from the contact page or open a ticket, and we answer within 30 days.

Where it is kept

We are in the United States, and our systems are kept here. If you write to us from another country, your information is handled here under this policy.

Children

This website and our services are meant for businesses and the people who run them, not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information; if you think we have, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters for how we use information you already gave us, we tell account holders by email first.
